Hi guys, I want to order BTTF dvd boxset, and was going to go with CD-Wow, when I noticed the box looked different.
Is there a difference between the Play R2 and CD-Wow R2/4 versions? Or is it just the different box? (Look at the PG sign, and the top bits got a grey bar on the CD-wow).
Silly I know, just want to make sure I'm getting the right one :)
the only difference is that the UK box has silver embossed writing and that's about it

Erm, another silly question (yes I am wearing the idiot cap), but if this is a R2 version, why would they even have to give this warning?
CDWOW version is the R4 version, its just dual encoded iirc. They also send dvds from outside the uk (as far as i am aware) so anything over the £18 limit is liable for a customs charge, and i think theres a thread or 2 in the suppliers forum about people who have been charged
CD-WOW ship everything from Hong Kong, which is great for here in Oman - I get everything in 3 days (4 max!)
I placed an order a few nights ago for the region 1 version and another title which arrived today. I noticed that they put the price on the envelop which makes it almost 100% chance of being charged VAT.
Is there anyway I can amend my order on-line to state that it is a gift as I have just looked at my order and there doesn't seem to be an option to do this.
I don't think items marked as a gift from a retailer will matter to Customs.
No what I mean if it is marked gift then generaly a price will not be placed on the envelope like the order I received today.
Never had a custom charge from CDWow (and that includes BTTF) but someone over in the supplier forums got stung on a computer game. He mailed CDWOW about it and they paid the charge.
Can't say fairer than that.
So how much would the customs charge be on a R1 BTTF from Play?
I assume it is 17.5% on top of the cost of the set plus £3 for Consignia to kindly pay customs for you.
I ordered the Region 4 version from CD-WOW! when it was £17.99, and so it didn't get stopped by HMC&E.
I now notice that they have put the price up to £18.99, meaning that it is more likely to be stopped by customs.
If you want the Region 2/4 version without fear of customs, I would check out ********* (http://www.*********.com), who are currently selling it for £20.99.
