Collect Questions

Watching a bit of Ep1 on ITV1, I noticed that the picture seemed really good, ok its not as crisp as DVD but I noticed things that I havent before.
I have a full Sony Setup but on EP1 the space seens etc looked far better on the TV version.
Am I alone?



Can't say I've noticed but I do find it odd that I'll watch something on TV that I've got on DVD. Why do we do this?

Also often you have a bunch of DVDs and you haven't gotten round to watching them. Then a film comes on TV and you like it so you end up watching it even though you have a superior version on DVD.



I've noticed this, in recent years Films have looked a lot better particularly those shown by BBC2 & Ch4.



it's probably got something to do with digital sourcing.
has anyone ele noticed that older films tend to be shown on tv when a new dvd has either just been released or is due to be?
