Question:
Hi,I have had 2 copies of this movie and neither will play
It is the r2 version and i have a panny dvd amp combo that has been chipped for all regions, all i get is a message on screen saying that this disc cannot be played and a no play message on the dvd panel...any help please?????
Could be a parental control problem, has anyone one been messing with that?
Or possibly an RCE-related problem whereby the disc expects the player to be R2-only?

I wouldn't have thought that it was worth it as hardly any R1 buyers (actually living in R1) purchase R2 discs, so putting in RCE would not really be worthwhile - despite MR being released on R2 2 weeks before R1.
A lot of people have mentioned watching it already and I would have expected more problems if this was a RCE R2 problem.
It isnt a parental control issue because i am the only one who uses the dvd, strange thing is that the dvd just worked after about 20 times trying?????????switched it off and hey presto it doesnt work again?????next time it works i'll watch it through!!!!!
Don't seem to be an RCE thing... just tested it on my player which normally needs manually switching if you've previously been playing a different region. Worked fine.
Plays fine on my Tosh.
Have just tried it on the Alba:nuts: - no probs.
And the DVD drive on the laptop - no probs.

Sounds like either a dodgy disc or a dodgy player
Forgive me. I've not seen it yet. Any good?

I'm sure there were rumours that Dragnet R2 was RCE -- don't remember seeing them explicitly confirmed or denied though.

Anyone had problems with this movie on a Sony S735D. I have not got my disc yet but i read on another site that someone had trouble playing the disc. It stuck on three seperate places. Anyone out there who has the Sony player mentioned and has had any problems?
Opened my Minority Report today to find disc 1 has clouding all over it! it looks like the clouding you get on cd singles.
Also, the edge of the disc is covered in solid, but not sticky, glue.
It played fine when I tested it by skipping through the chapters??
Anyone else had this?

My discs play no problems. I only tried one of the featurettes but both discs loaded and film played for me. I have a Wharfedale DVD 750 with 3rd Generation chip!
Where did you buy your discs? Sounds like a dodgy batch!
BTW: The only disc that wouldn't load after I upgraded was 2001: A Space Odyssey.
