Question:
I own all 7 of these sets, and I think they are superb.
Is there a schedule for further sets?
Not that it bothers me (i would not part with them), will these sets be worth anything in years to come or have I fallen prey to the "limited" tag added by Disneys sales team......
Wartime Cartoons and Dr Syn: Alias the Scarecrow were meant to be in this batch but has been put back. No date for the next batch yet, but the disney treasures might stick to their yearly releases schedule.
I got the Orginal 4 releases and 2 of the new three have been posted. just waiting on the Mickey Mouse Black And White set to be posted!:(
I think there is going to be another silly symphonies one, another Mickey Mouse in Colour one and also a Donald Duck one as well. They may be in next years batch.
What are the orignal ones?
Mickey Mouse in Colour I have and there is Davey Crockett? but the others
Silly Symphonies and a Behind the scenes at Walt Disney World weere the other two
Have just discovered the existence of this series and it has prompted me to finally upgrade to a multi region player. Although it is out of print(?) I think I have managed to order Mickey in Color from Amazon, costing a bit more than its original rrp.
A few question which maybe gjkendall can answer (or anyone else, of course).
I've read a no. of reviews on MMILC and opinions on the picture quality seem to vary from remakably good to lots of sratches and frequent flicker. What is the quality like?
Any suggestions on the best place (for cost and service) to buy future discs?
Is the Silly Symponies still widely available?
I used to own 4 minute B&W, silent, 8mm prints of Lonesome Ghosts and Clock Cleaners. It will be interesting to see them in colour and sound.
I have not watched all 7 of thesets yet, but I have to say the picture quality has been IMHO excellent! Especially considering the age of the material!
I ordered my copies from ********* and they were £17.99 each!
I agree with gjkendall - the quality is remarkable - vastly better, for instance, than that Australian Cartoon Classics series.
My first two I got from DVD Box Office, but the recent ones I got from DVD Soon, for under twelve quid shipped - what a bargain!

Yes - I got MMIC from them and it had to be replaced several times due to dented boxes - it really is amazing that you can order something from them that gets shipped with in the UK and it ends up all dented and needs replacing and yet something that is airmailed from DVD soon in Canada (where I gto the subsequent releases I wanted) turns up in pristine condition.
