Sounds a terrible idea - but very probably untrue. As mentioned above - just because he's been good in one tole that was closesly related to his real persona doesn't mean he can carry off Batman.
Hell - Prince was pretty good in Purple Rain - but have you seen his other movies?

Total and utter crap IMO
Peterson's comments are months old and are from before the film was canned.Peterson is doing Troy now and the producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has left WB.
WB are moving forward with Superman directed by Brett Ratner.WB want to restablish Batman and Superman idivdually before putting them together.
