Question:
Basically needing to know what the difference is between the region 2 boxset in the high street shops and the Region 2 / 4 boxset that cd-wow are selling?
Looking at the extras on play it appears that the only difference is that there is not a commentary by Michael J Fox on back to the future part 1.
Is there any differences in the content or the packaging?
I have heard R1 is even better but again the extras look exactly the same.
check out www.bttf.com for the difference in features
here is a review of R1 at http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=108848 which is a very indepth review and does take awhile to get through
AFAIK R2 and R4 are pretty much the same content, a much touted 'international version'. The packaging looks the same... a fold up digipak.
R1 drops the dts soundtrack and digipak packaging for more extras and an Amaray case. This has been deemed by the studio and involved creatives as the 'definitive version'.
cheers guys, thanks for the info
R2/4 Identical in content and packaging. They've also released the first film as a single release as well.
the extras accoriding to play are exactly the same, does anyone know what extras the R1 offers the R2 and R4 doesn't?

Until the 6 discer they have planned for next year:D
I got my R4 from CD-Wow when it first came out, a real bargain for less than £18.
The packaging is great, BUT I read on these forums somewhere that people where getting different packaging on recent orders of the R4 (from CD-Wow) and that the nice fold-out digi-pack had been replaced with a load of junk that meant all three discs were stacked on top of each other!
Can anyone confirm this?
anyone have info on the Canadian release ?
is it the same as the US R1 ?
someone mentioned it may be different because they read the extra extras were for domestic R1 releases only, but i went to the offcial website and sure they hyping up the US release, but they did also say that R1 releases (including Canadian ?) will be different to the international versions.
I have the Canadian version and can confirm that it is the same as the US version.
thanks you ;)

It was a 12 disc version, that also included directors cuts of each.
