Question:
£19.99 for 57 minutes?
That's a joke.
Boycott it!!!!!!

It does seem a little expensive, I agree. But the short length of the main feature is supposed to be more than made up for by an extensive and excellent selection of extra features. But then, I've not yet seen the disk so I cannot confirm or deny this.
erm.. you dont have to pay £20.
Buy it online for around £15.
it all depends on how big a fan you are/ if you insist on being a LOG completist. It's got extra features which is more than can be said for other discs retailing for that price.
Are there any reviews around for this disc? I've checked DVD Basen, but it didn't find anything.
WHSmiths are selling it for 16.99, btw.

Yes I know I can get it for £13.99 online, much like I can any other disc that retails at £19.99. And extra features are extra by definition and should not be used to try and justify the ridiculous cost of something which has a 1/3 of the content of a regular BBC sitcom disc.
And cost should not be based on how devoted a fan base are likely to be. Especially not with DVDs from the BBC.
Rip-off!
Instead of looking at this disc as overpriced I think it’d be more realistic to regard the LOG series discs as underpriced. £12 via the CDWow US site isn’t expensive either.
So you would like to pay £24.99 or maybe £29.99 for 6 episodes of, among many others, Black Adder, Absolutely Fabulous, Only Fools and Red Rwarf?
I guess you have the right to believe that. Personally I think current price is ok, seeing as we paid for them to be made already. But personally I prefer the pricing of Yes Minister, Open all Hours and Porridge at £12.99 RRP or there abouts.

*sigh* Obviously I’m happy paying as little as possible but I think the Beeb would be well within their rights to ask for £24.99 for the LOG series discs. The commentaries alone are worth the money. Your TV licence pays for them to be aired on BBC channels not sold in stores as that necessitates seperate agreements and more money for the performers and writers. Older shows screened multiple times over the years will obviously be sold at lower prices as there is practically zero participation from principals in terms of extra material, no remastering, single discs and bog-standard generic packaging. These have to be priced competitively as they’re a harder sell than "hot" shows like LOG although this too in time will be reduced in price as it becomes a catalogue item.
It’s a pointless gripe anyway from the school of "never mind the quality feel the width". I’d rather pay £20 for an hour of LOG than the same for 3 hours of Coupling or Gimme, Gimme, Gimme.
Forgot how good the episode was and the 5.1 sound is nice. Haven't looked through all the things on the disc yet but I don't feel ripped off by the £15 I spent on it.
I think its excellent. Disc includes the following:-
Christmas special (57mins)
The league in conversation (70mins approx.)
Documentary (30mins approx.)
Interview with composer (25mins approx)
Jackanory: the curse of karrit poor (25mins approx)
Outakes
extended/deleated scenes
fx shots
photo galleries
character biographies
commentary by TLoG
The disc also features excellent spooky animated menus and is very well presented just like the previous two releases.
Can someone please explain why this is such a rip off?
Don't even need to go on-line to get it cheaper either. Asda have it for £15.97.

That's what I was thinkng.
One of the biggest rip off discs this year was the Bill Hicks DVD. I paid £12 for a cut down version of his stand up routine & a documentary, but I love Bill Hicks. My old VHS release was superior, but unfortunately that was lent out and never returned.
A huge disapointment after a year or so delay. The memory of Bill Hicks and is fans deserve much better!
You people make me sick!! :)
The christmas special was boring anyway.
However the VHS edition comes in a special "local shop" shaped tin!
