Ronnie Corbet was a Bond (along with Wood Allen) in Casino Royale and Bob Holness was the very first person to play Bond in a radio play of Casino Royale.

... Ronnie Corbett is actually Scottish.
Dazza.
I very much doubt we will get an American to play it next, and even if I think he would still have to sound English/British.
I thought Scotland, England and Wales had the same nationality .... British

How about Lloyd Grossman - he doesn't sound American, he doesn't sound English, he just sounds like a weirdo!
Hey maybe if an American does play Bond in the future it might actually be good

I for one like Bond films....
ok, so that's their nationalities.. but what does everyone think of their performances and who was the best Bond?
Sean Connery: the classic bond. The first. Macho, raw enery. Commanding in the fight scenes, commanding with his ladies. Handsom. Charming.
George Lazenby: i feel he's recieved a bad reputation due to not acting before OHMSS, but i feel he looks a most competant fighter and i believe he is also a competant actor. His English accent is fine, if a little posh. I think he's a decent Bond and it's hard to tell whether he would have been any better because he was only in for one, but what a superb film it was too. Vastly under-rated in my opinion.
Roger Moore: Sophistication. Definitely has an air of class and upbringing about him. I got the impression he knew what a fine wine tasted like and would dine at all the expensive restaurants. I liked his languid an tongue-in-cheek tone. However when it came to a fight scene, he was distinctly slower and more geriatric than the other Bonds and i feel this detracts from his overall performance.
Timothy Dalton: pending.. until i watch Licence to Kill..
Pierce Brosnan: I find his mixed accent of american/english/irish a little off putting. He also has a slighter frame and i've never been a fan of his image of Bond. He's not the worst, but it's just not really how i think James Bond should be. I'm still unconvinced that he has any punch power. And in GoldenEye he looks absolutely terrified in the midst of action. I dont find him very slick at all - just an adequet Bond.
