20th Century Fox and Fox Searchlight...Whats the difference?
Question:

Ast title basically - are they the same company? There seem to be loads of films coming out under fox searchlight i'd assumed that 20th century fox had changed over to that now that we're in the 21st century, until i saw bond last night which was again under 20th Century.
Whats the deal???

Answers:

I believe Fox Searchlight is smaller , less expensive , indie type films .. films that 20th Century Fox wouldn't usually release :)

Answers:

I think Fox Searchlight is their UK-based studio.
EDIT: Nope, just checked. One Hour Photo is also from Fox Searchlight.

Bond due to it's massive budget is a MGM/Fox co production. (Fox get the U.K cinema rights, no idea about the DVD...)
Fox Searchlight is Fox's low budget 'indie' wing of the company.

Answers:

Fox have been distributing MGMs films in the UK for over a year now, I dont think the Bond film is any special co-production just another MGM film that falls under the distribution deal.

I think they should change to 30th Century Fox now anyway, at least it wont get out of date for a while :)
