Question:
Watched this again last night, great movie.. :D Just realised that Frye is Stuart from Spin City. .
What I didn't realise is that he was actually the big 30 when he made Ferris Bueller..
"..Let my Cameron go..."
"Pardon my French, but Cameron is so tight that if you stuck a lump of coal up his ass, in two weeks you'd have a DIAMOND."
There was a bloke at uni who was the double of Cameron - he HATED this being pointed out to him of course ;)
He also had a small role in Speed, he was a passenger on the bus!
Ferris rules - what a great feel good movie that is !

Yeah, he had a similarly 'panicky' role in Star Trek Generations, as the gormless, useless Enterprise B captain at the beginning. "Phasers? They're not installed until tuesday..."

More news tomorrow apparently - could be on my way. :(
erm, without being bothered to look it up, Alan Ruck isn't it? (ooh, sound like Ron Manager!)
I remember he was in Young Guns 2 as well wasn't he?
Hah, my mate worked that out after seeing Spin City when it first came out!! :p ;)
FWIW: Alan Ruck (http://us.imdb.com/Name?Ruck,%20Alan)

Glad someone else enjoys this moment as much as I:D
You know the girl who played Ferris' girlfriend (I think she's called Mia Sara?) I think I saw her in a film on Channel 5 not too long ago. Can't remember what it was called, but IIRC she played a farmer's daughter who was taking it up the back passage with a little assistance from the lodger. (This scene was most gratifying, I can assure you. :norty: ) When her father finds out, he goes fruit loop and starts terrorising the poor todger...er, I mean lodger.
Anyone know what I'm on about? What was this film called?

Also in Birds Of Prey on The WB here (which is about to get canned so you probably wont get it in the UK). But she looks really bad in BoP with short blonde hair :(

Anyone know what I'm on about? What was this film called? A quick look on IMDb and it could be either "Jack and the Beanstalk: The Real Story" (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0264262) :norty: or The Maddening (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0113732) although I think you'd remember it had Burt Reynolds in it....
Someother classic lines, I just remembered:
Grace: Oh, he's very popular Ed. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, waistoids, dweebies, d**kheads--they all adore him. They think he's a righteous dude.
Matire D': If you don't leave, I'm going to have to get snooty.
Ferris: "Snooty"?!
Matire D': Snotty.
Ferris: Snotty?!
And the best quote in the film:
Singing Nurse: I heard that you were feeling ill / Headache, fever, and a chill / I came to help restore your pluck / 'Cause I'm the nurse who likes to -
:)
Brilliant film (he padded) :)
Can't beleive I never spotted her in Timecop - one of my favourite films!
I need Ferris Buellers day off on DVD
now

If he meant an older hillbilly husband instead of father, and drifter instead of lodger, it is Undertow (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0118032) :D
Pardon my french, but your an a$$hole! :D
Excellent film. Just watched this again the other night, shame it's such a bare bones release but the film itself makes up for it.
Best bit of the film for me is when he is running homw to beat that parents then gets caught by Rooney and is helped out of all people by his sister!
