Question:
Another for the collectors out there. :)
Is this one in my *cough* boxset?
Cool!

It would be nice to see a confirmed list of Audio Tracks for this release, as the usually reliable Asiandvdguide are stating it has Japanese Stereo, but no Japanese 5.1 like the R2.
It's not a Miyazaki film. He directed just one small sequence in it (the dream sequence).
Having said that, it is quite good - not one of the Ghibli classics but still a great film; the Japanese version of Country Road is worth the price alone :rocker:
"Country Road take me home" Repeat x10
:D
Ono - I suggest you to try and watch your miyazaki cartoons including the one mentioned ;) ... rather than Mr Deeds ...
Miyazaki wrote the screenplay, didn't he?
J
Yep, but it was directed by Yoshifumi Kondou.
Ono - it was in the *cough* boxset I used to have, but the subtitles were uttery atrocious. Insanely literal Japanese/English translation and mistimed so that by the end of the film, the words would appear up to 2 minutes after they were spoken.
Yes it *is* THAT boxset.
I probably will replace them all soon with these releases - but since I barely watch them (my son watches more) it is not worth it.
Another one added to my growing collection of studio ghibli greatness.:notworthy :notworthy :)
And I haven't even had a chance to watch Laputa yet.:noid:
Watch Laputa NOW!!!!!111
Every time I watch a Ghibli movie, I have a micro-second's hesitation: 'this is going to be the one that breaks the perfect run.' And they never do - they are all superb.
So I've ordered Whisper of the Heart from Coolashop!
Its been confirmed that there is no Japanese DD5.1 track on the R3 release.
It is also a DVD9 disk-set (not a "5") and most certainly has an anamorphic transfer. Haven't watched it all yet, just a quick peak....
