Question:
I wouldn't get some films by themselfs, sometimes I just wait until they become apart of the buy one get one free offer, or 2 for 20.
Are a number of you increasing your waiting on some dvds, just forgeting about some, and then reeling your reward of waiting, by getting 2 films in a special offer, I've got some films I didn't buy when they came out, but want, but in time will likely be apart of a special offer.
Sometimes I get films that I am not so sure of buying, such is the power of the special offer.
Or can you not wait?
DVDSoon offer nearly all films for under £11, so for the sake of an extra £2 saved in a BOGOF its not worth the wait IMO ... plus its an extra few months wait on the R2 release, then waiting for it to appear on sale.
I'm starting to do this a bit more with R2 discs nowadays, than when I first got into DVD. Recent titles such as Tron, Grease and Star Trek II DC will inevitably appear in someone's BOGOF offer within the next six months, so I can wait.
However, R1 and R4 discs are a diferent story....
yeah, Ive stopped buying R2 when they come out for this very reason. The only exception to this rule is foreign language films from companies like Artifical Eye as they don't appear to end up in these offers :(
