Pearl Harbor Vista R1 Packaging Problem
Question:

On inspecting my R1 Pearl Harbor DC Disc 1 I found it had a small blob of glue and cardboard fibres stuck to the movie side of the disc.
I've just received a replacement set and this has got 2 blobs of glue and cardboard fibres on the same disc. The 3 other discs were fine on both sets.
Has anyone else had this problem or have I just been incredibly unlucky?

Answers:

My discs seemed to be OK...

Still worked flawlessly tho' :smokin:

I picked it off on the first one as well, but 20 minutes into the film the picture pixelated quite badly for about 5 seconds. There was still a small mark left on the disc so I presumed this caused the breakup.
I must hand it to CD-Wow though for trying to sort this out so quickly. It's only taken 5 days from them posting the initial discs to me receiving the replacement discs (both appearing to come from Hong Kong). They're also sending a 3rd set out today. That's some customer service.

I had the same thing on disc 1 as well, just picked it off. I still haven't got around to watching it in full to see if it affects playback - but did do a quick check and it seemed ok.
as impressive as the packaging is, the disc wallet is quite ridiculous.

Is it right that the R2 "ultimate" version is not in fact the "director's cut" but merely the theatrical version with more extras?

Yeah I had the same problem: My disc 1 had a blob of glue from the packaging on it which caused the picture to break up. I picked off the glue (carefully!) and it was ok, but the next time I pulled it out there was another blob on it!
I've now put a piece of paper inside the envelope to protect the disc and it's fine.
The R2 "ultimate" version is a con. Why couldn't they release the Director's cut? Where's the DTS? All you get are a few extra features but the exact same version of the film as the original R2 release!

Just received my 3rd set and not a blob of glue in sight. Cd-Wow come through good again.
Re the R2 version: How can they justify calling it the "ultimate" version when it so clearly is not?
