Is the 3-disc R2 set still going ahead?

Arse! Back to R1 then!

Would it have killed them to send out an e-mail to people who have ordered it?

Actually, despite the notice the set would not be released, my order was still open. I suggest those who have ordered go over to hmv.com.au and cancel otherwise you might still get charged.

Thanks for the heads up. I was waiting to get the R4 but it looks I can go ahead and get the R1 now.

Bah, HMV Australia haven't answered an e-mail I sent five days ago or shipped a pre-ordered CD single that "ships within 24 hours" in over a week.

Okay, so they do care, underneath, in a strange, erratic kind of way. Online.
The service in the actual physical store is still crap. :)

Answers:

I should have ordered on-line instead of in-store.
may have to go in tomoro and see if this offer is for in-store orders as well :)

Got this e-mail as well, so glad I decided not to cancel and wait it out.

Wahay!! Just checked my mail and I've got the same - what a result, and well done to our HMV mates darn n'der!

I just got the e-mail too! Bonkers!
I've gone for the standard ET disc.
Can't imagine we would have gotten this type of response from many other suppliers - nice one HMV Australia
