"The Audition" questions **Spoilers**
Question:

I dont know how to do spoiler tags, so you have been warned  I just watched the audition, and am a tad confused, and need some help :p
Am I right in thinking that the whole sequence of leg chopping off/ cutting the wheelchair mans head off/ and fingerless body in the bag, was all just a dream he had?
If so, then good im not lost!! But it just confused me right at the end when he went back to sleep and the "dream" continued. And what the hell was that very last bit? With someone wrapping their feet up or something, it was too dark to make anything out!!
Argh, maybe I am confused afterall!!
Thanks for any help!! :brickwall

The word is "ambiguity". This means the film makers intend for you to think about the film and to draw your own conclusions.
"Audition" is about how Japenese men stereotype women, so a point could be made that it's all the guilt ridden delusion of the hero, who wants a subservient wife who doesn't make any demands.
On the other hand she did drug him, so that could explain his distorted perception of time and place while she chops him up.
In the end it's really up to you. "Audition" is in the tradition of Luis Bunuel or David Lynch, where you are required to do some of the work yourself instead of having it all neatly explained to you in the end.

she drugged him, we got some dodgy dream sequence to try and confuse us (just ignore it) he wakes up and then she tortured him ... the end
