Question:
Have got a question regarding the recent Bond R1 re-issues.
If i buy any Bond R1 DVD's online, how do i know i am getting the new re-issued ones and not the old now OOP ones... ?
Which ones actually got deleted, and which ones actually came out on the 22nd of last month... ?
Thanks in advance for any info.
Cheers. :)
Hi
The R1 James Bond disk re-released on the 22/10 were the following:
Dr. No
Goldfinger
Spy Who Loved Me
Man with the Golden Gun
Licence to Kill
Goldeneye
Tomorrow Never Dies
There is no difference between these and the older ones. They are the same special editions in the same packaging. The only difference is the lower price point. In fact they were never really deleted but just held off of the shelves. The other Bond movies will be released in batches over the next year or so at the lower price.
Hope that helps.
Colin
There is another difference. If you starting collecting them in their previous incarnation but didn't get around to buying all 3 boxsets(...like me :( ), be warned...they have mixed the sets up for this re-release!
For instance, Thunderball was in the previous boxset number 1...it's not in this one! If you try buying the set you missed out last time you will have a number of duplicate titles, and still some missing!
Why they have done this is anyones guess...they've lost out on my purchase though
Thanks for the info folks. :)
Have also found out the TND was out previously in a silver cover, but now is in a standard one just like the rest.
Cheers. :)
