Question:
The version I got in the post today from Blackstar has the Irish certification labels on it with BBFC certificate stickers. Since when have Blackstar been doing this? Everything else I've had from them has had BBFC covers.
some dvd's differ
blackstar is based in ireland so they got irish covers
i wish we hada got irish covers in work,we got a mix of both.
pain in the arse having to re-sticker about 60 dvd's with irish certs
BlackStar are actually in Northern Ireland. I hate those blue stickers.
Very strange that BlackStar are doing this, they should only have the BBFC logo!
Are they still cut?
I think the Irish DVDs look godawful. The blue stickers are just hand stuck to the discs - most of them are on sideways and they're lumped on the spine too. When I was last over there, the only disc seen fit to print without stickers was LOTR.
Morpheus, how do you purchase your discs then, as those blue stickers ruin all the Eire discs?

Are they still cut? Not tried. But as the discs are identical and the BBFC and Irish certificates are on them (like the UK version) - I guess so.

I don't mind when the cert is actually part of the cover, but I hate those bloody blue stickers.
I usually buy my DVDs from Play247!
Unstick them using the finger technique.

I think the Irish DVDs look godawful. It wouldn't be so bad but they dressed Yoda up as a Leprechaun.
