Question:
In a moment of madness I bought the latest Kylie single on DVD (form an orderly que to slap me hard) after seeing the rather neat video on MTV.
Was quite ****** off when I got home to find out that the actual video isn't on the DVD, but it is a version that she recorded "live" on Manchester (from her upcoming video release.)
WTF is the point of releasing a DVD single and not putting the actual video on?? Ash also used to be guilty of this moronic practice.
At least I had the new Coldplay DVD single to console me.

DVD-AUDIO discs are high-res audio they dont usually come with video on them, i have around 10 and only 1 or 2 have video footage as extras.

I just had a look on www.eil.com and it seems the video is on one of the cd-singles, 'cd 2' in fact. :nuts:
Have to agree, it is a bit pointless. They could of included both vidoes. I'm sure there would still be more than enough room left on the dvd.
the actual video will be included in AVI or MPEG format as an extra on one of the singles - i assumed the reason why both weren't included on the DVD was something to do with the chart stipulations on how many tracks can be included on a "single" - but Coldplay has 2 versions of the video of their new release (one backwards, one forwards.)
Just seems such a wasted opportunity (and why on Earth "Can't get you out of my head" never got a DVD release is beyond me - that would have been a huge seller!) :norty:
there's quite a few releases like this, not just Kylie. I like to support DVD singles cos I think it's a great idea, but I always avoid the one's that don't bother putting the vid on. I've got a fair collection of decent DVD singles and long may they continue...
