Question:
Certificate 12A, run time 2 hours 13 mins.
Reviews should be forthcoming from now on, I for one have my fingers crossed they'll be good.
Passed uncut which is good.
yes we will be seeing the longer international cut of 2 minutes that the US will be missing

Makes a change for once. I think something similar happened with Eyes Wide Shut, it was totally uncut in Ireland.

BBC gave it 5 stars out of 5.
Warning, some details of the movie in their, about gagets, and story overviews, nothing too serious, just I avoided it, since I want to be surprised alot, 3 years waiting for a new Bond film, long time.

Were in for a cracker, and felt confident about it all along. 40th anniversary of Bond, excellent.

Was this to gain a lower rating?
SeanValen, thanks a lot for that link -- considering what's over on the Review forum I was beginning to get worried.
Of course we're not out of the woods yet but there are enough raves already for me to be reasonably confident (famous last words? I hope not!).
These rave reviews happen everytime a new Bond comes out, it's always "the best Bond yet!"

Was this to gain a lower rating? Assume so, the US PG-13 is harsher on sex then the UK 12A(though laxer on violence which we all know, LOTR:FOTR being a big exception). Also because the MPAA "doesn't do censorship," if a film gets an R and the studio wants a PG-13, the studio has to try and work out what has to be cut for the resubmission, hence you get masses like 2mins trimmed out.(as opposed to in the UK, where if the studio really wants that lower cert, the BBFC tells them exactly what few seconds of snipping will do the trick).
according to hotdog mag sean connery filmed a cameo in this-can anyone confirm?

Well, according to Total Film the makers were going to ask him to film a cameo as Bond Snr. But then they realised that Bond had been an orphan since childhood. So they didn't bother in the end.

According to GoldenEye his parents died in a climbing accident, was he only a child when this happened? How do we know his parents didn’t fake their own deaths?
