Question:
I'm thinking of buying it and would like to know if it's worth getting them all together (i only really liked the first two) and if the bonus extra's disc is any good.
All help appreciated.
I have it, but I haven't even looked at the 4th bonus disc to be honest.
I just thought it was the best way to get all three films together, and if they do make a Jurrassic Park IV like Spielberg is intimating (He doesn't want to direct though) then I can slot that in where the bonus disc goes.

is there anything in particular that you would like to know with regards to the set? one thing that i would bring to your attention is that unfortunately the 4th disc does not include any additional trailers or advertising for the three jurassic park films, this i knew before buying the set but non the less still a glaring ommision from the boxed set. just thought this may be of interest before making your decision.

I have the Trilogy box set with the 4th disk. If you already have the films, think carefully before buying this as there really isn't a great deal extra on disc 4 to tempt you. While some of the material is interesting (Spielberg and crew cowering from Hurricane Iniki at the location hotel, and a reasonably in-depth interview with Michael Crichton), much of the rest of it amounts to little more than a promo reel for ILM. There was stuff on the 'making of' laserdisc a few years back (the teaser trailer in the Amber mine, and the animatics of the T-Rex attacking the cars), that could have been put on the bonus disc but sadly wasn't. A missed opportunity.
I should finally be getting my 4 disc collecter's case and 4th DVD this weekend. I asked my cousin in the US to get it for me using my coupon from my JPIII DVD, and he is coming over this weekend. It's only been about 6 months since I sent off for it and they only sent it to him a few weeks back. Lucky for me he was coming over a few weeks after that anyway.
I bought mine for the same reason as GAmbrose, nice to have all 3 together. As for the 4th disc, well it depends on how keen you are on the extra features,as there are quite a few on the other 3 as well,it's a lot to watch. Some bits are intresting, others dull.
Overall I'd say go for it,for 4 discs it's worth the money.
When I was in Australia a few months ago they were selling JP3 Trilogy boxes so that you could put the 3 DVDs into them yourself.
Well now that universal have confirmed Jurassic Park 4 (Spielberg will oversee the film but no script/director have been confirmed yet) it sort of makes this set a bit pointless as there will be a collectors set for all 4 films.
Still, i will probably get it. Just one thing, is there enough room in the box for another dvd case, such as the eventual release of jurassic park 4?
Thanks for the replies. ;)
There are always these boxes available here (http://designpaulchampagne.com/sequels.html) . You could always ask him to custom make the box so it will fit 4 (for the extra disc) or 5 (for the extra disc and the new film)...
...assuming you get the individual discs cheaply first...
When JP3 was released the Trilogy boxset was also released.
Universal offered buyers of JP3 the chance to get the Trilogy Boxset and the bonus DVD (that normally came with the Trilogy Boxset) to add to their collection of individual JP, JP2 and JP3 discs.
Based on this they could do a similar offer for the JP Quadrology (or whatever the word is) boxset which will most likely be released when JP4 is released.

There is enought room if you remove the 4th bonus disk but the outer packaging states "Jurassic Park Trilogy":dork: :D
The 4th disk is pretty crap as well - very little on it that I was wowed by. Also, JP1 & II do not have DTS tracks in the box (prolly knew that already) I'm thinking of getting the DTS versions and putting them with the single release extras versions in double cases!:dork:

but if they do it with JP4 will they make the offer for international customers or just US/Canada again.
I was thinking about it and actually put my R2 JP + JP2 set up for sale. But then I saw the Exclusive JP3 boxset and kept them all. Could do with a replacement box though. Anyone got any ideas?
