Question:
Anyone know if a release date's been set for the region 2 version of Donnie Darko?
Thanks.
Probably be a rental version around April and a retail version this time next year. But's that's an educated guess.
Thanks. Just trying to decide whether i should bother waiting or just get the r1 version now.
I note with horror that this is distributed in the UK by Metrodome, perpetrators of some of the worst DVDs I've ever seen, so I doubt if it will match the quality of the R1 SE. But I hope I am proved wrong.
Can't really see any reason not to get the R1, it will probably be cheaper, it's a decent special edition (I doubt the R2 will be any better) and it's out now!

Just get the R1 m8, you won't regret it. Only £10.96 here (http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=FXD003640)
region one RRP is goig down to $14.95 soon so i should be even cheaper from north american based sellers
Was going to try and catch this at the flicks, but am tempted just to order the DVD instead.
£10.96 sounds good. Thanks!
£10.96 sounds great - i guess i'll go for the r2 then! Thanks :)

Fox have announced that the price of this disc will be reduced to $14.95 on 4th February 2003 only three months to wait. There's plenty of stuff coming out between then and now.:)
Metrodome! bugger, i though it was momentum. Metrodome are awful distibutors. i'm guessing a rental version in april as well, complete with a trailer and interactive menus.
buy the R1 now i tell you, now!
Rewind DVD comparison say that there is an R0 release on 15th January 2003.

But no specs. yet.
R1 looks top notch but I can't find anywhere that is selling now as opposed to pre-order for the Feb. 4th 2003 price change. Does anyone know off a site selling R1 now?
metrodome have confirmed a march 24th rental release with a 2 month rental window. they are doing there best to provide the extras off the R1 but don't get too excited.
they have said they expect this to be their biggest selling dvd ever, so they might make the extra effort. plus with the success this has seen in the uk (4x the US box office take i'm told) they might even rope someone in to do some new extras.
dvdsoon look cheap
what is the reason for this price drop ?
what is the reason for this price drop ?
Just a budget re-release that has the same specs as the one out now AFAIK :)
Thanks.
