Question:
just saw this on http://www.mrhatshellhole.com/:
We got word today that Warner is releasing South Park: Season 1 on DVD WITHOUT commentary on the discs. You have to obtain a "bonus" CD that contains the commentary from Comedy Central.
If this proves to be correct it'll be really annoying. I've been looking forward to the commentaries since the release was first announced. Issuing a seperate cd seems a very odd way to do things, lets hope it dosen't happen.
What the hell is the idea behind this then??
I've never heard of anything like this before, are you meant to listen to the CD on a CD player while watching the episode on DVD??
This is very strange  I guess we will need US addresses to apply for the disc so maybe its some really dumb attempt at region coding? :brickwall
I was looking forward to this as well
This is either
a) the most ridiculous idea ever - just how does having commentaries on a seperate CD work?
or b) it's the South Park boys havin' a larf and all the obsessed fans and DVD geeks (who moi?!)
I hope it's b) as that's damn funny but seeing as we are talking about an American corporation here my money is on a)
