Question:
Could someone please help me before i go insane! I have just bought A Bug's Life collectors edition on region 2. However i am extremely confused about the widescreen image. On the back of the packaging it says 2:35:1 widescreen but does not mention anamorphic. Secondly there is supposed to be two versions of the movie. The widescreen and 4:3 version. However, the disc is one sided rather than two sided so therefore does that mean both transfers are on the same side? (The second disc includes the special features). Also is there a region 2 version of a Bug's Life that is not anamorphic?
I know there is a lot of questions but i am confused as hell.
One last thing
the image on the front packaging is of the blue bug looking on through a leaf with a hole in it. In the background are some other characters from the movie a purple bug, a ladybird and what looks like a centipede! The packaging is amaray but comes with a cardboard cover which has a picture of a leaf with a hole in it exposing the bugs on the actual amaray case.
the R2 collectors edition is 2.35:1 and anamporphic.. there is no 4:3 version on either disc.
i think the original R2 non-collectors wasn't anamorphic

I thought the original R1 was non-anamorphic but the R2 was always anamorphic?
BTW, the R1 CE has both versions of the film on disk 1, which is a DVD9. Picture quality is superb.

I've just sold the older R2 on e.bay for £9 it was a flipper 4 : 3 one 1 side and Widescreen on the other- no DTS sound thats why I brought the new collectors edition 2 disk. So you could try e.bay;)
