Has there been a price change forthe Babylon5 season 1 box set as it is so expensive in the High street.
I thought that the RRP was £45.00, but I could only find it for the following prices.
MCV - £49.99 (reduced form 59.99)
Our Price - £64.99
WH Smith - £60.99
Not a big problem for me as I have orderd it from Play for £33.99(I wasn't going to pay those prices). It looks like Non Internet fans are being ripped of again.
it is £39.99 at Virgin so i might be buying it there but on the other post there may be a possible lip sync problem with some players or the disc itself. Oh and on the whsmiths website it has it for £35.99 and i check in the shop it was a extortionate price of £59.99. They can shove it were the sun don't shine !
DVD.co.uk sell it for £33.99 and they are a Forums sponsor so the Forums get money as well.
play have it for £33.99 too (if it helps)
DVD.co.uk ship from within the UK so there is no fear of customs charges. You never know with Play as they are in Jersey and despite it being an R2 title, Customs might still sting you.
DVD.co.uk are also shipping it currently (as a bunch of us receieved our copies from them on Saturday), and they are a Forums Sponsor so you are helping the Forums.

Hence many retailers seem to have it a much higher price. HMV had it at £74.99 until about two days before its release when it dropped to £44.99

Heh, what kind of a company doesn't know how much its paying for its stock?
HMV had it at £74.99 until about two days before its release when it dropped to £44.99 [/B] I can half understand pre release confusion, but once its released there really is no excuse. Anyway, its Rrp;).
Amazingly, amazon.de have the first B5 Box for 30 Euros (about 20 quid, I believe). Dunno how much that all works out to in the end, with shipping to UK n all, but it's incredibly cheap in comparison to the US & UK versions.

I emailed Whsmiths about the first price of £59.99 and got a reply saying that the made a mistake and now corrected the priced to £39.99.
