Question:
what version/regions do i buy to get standard amaray covers (not digipack )?
Hmmm...
I don't think that any of the "Back To The Future" releases will be in amaray cases (although I bet someone comes along and says otherwise!).
As for E.T. - not a clue!
sorry to invade your thread, but has R2 Bttf been confirmed to have same extras the R1 version ?
Yes, I'd like to know that as well.
Even though the R4 only cost me £17 :D
www.dvdcompare.org.uk - the R1 is far better than the R2... :)
I might get the R1 just to watch the features, and keep my R4 to watch the films.
The only solution for these classics really.

but im assuming those details were there before R2 was delayed.
theres gotta be a reason why it was delayed.
FYI - E.T. (Region 2) 2-disc edition comes in a fold-out digitpack.

:D R1 is supposed to be amarays last I heard which is why I'm waiting for that.
Deaks.
I don't think the R1s are in 'amaray(s)' I think the discs come in one big ugly bright blue amaray.
The R4 packaging is much nicer.:D
can anyone confirm if either of these is in amaray cases or not?
also are the canadian versions plastered in french?
BTTF R4 from CDWOW came in an Amaray-type case with a cardboard sleeve. I wouldn't mind but the 3 discs came were stacked on top of each other - it was one of those long spindle things that can store 3 discs. I'm definitely getting a new case. Not bad for £16 though. Has anyone else got this?
i had the r4 but sold it on because of the cover,a crappy fold out thing with a ****** cardboard sleeve.
Does anybody know what the difference is between Back to the Future - Trilogy + Cases and back to the future-trilogy as shown on dvdsoon website.do you get separate cases to put them in.
The R4 BTTF is now in a single keep case.
All 3 discs sit on top of each other. So to get the 3rd movie out you have to take out the first 2 discs. :nono:
Edit: woops, didn't read Prav's post :)
Emailed them a while ago about the + cases, reply was.
Dear Sir,
The version "+ cases" only means that you have some more cases in the
package.
These products were meants for video store. If there is no "V.F" beside
the
title, it means that the cover is only in English.
If you should need anything else, please, don't hesitate to contact me
again.
Have a nice day.

So it looks like you get extra covers for the amaray cases, but not the cases itself.
thanks sid for that tried emailing them myself but got no reply. might get the r1 from ********* that way i dont pay customs.
Can i just ask, is the R2 BTTF from CDWow the widescreen version?
What about bilingual covers for R1 BTTF? Anyone?

Seeing as its a Universal release and it has a Frenck soundtrack then it most is a bilingual sleeve. But I am not 100% certain. But I would rather be 100% certain so gone for the US R1 from ********* for £22.99.
As was stated in a previous post regarding the frenchiness of Canadian covers from DVDSOON.com, a canadian retailer:
If there is no "V.F" beside the title, it means that the cover is only in English. The BTTF titles on dvdsoon.com do not have this designation.
I'm not sure what V.F stands for, but I can only imagine (and it works for me) to think it stands for, "Very French." :D
I have my order in at dvdsoon.com for quite some time and hope that this is the way it is - otherwise you all will see it on ebay.
PS - my first post, yay!

The v.f. stands for version francais. This is for studios that release seperate English and French titles ala Disney, Fox etc. Universal do not release seperate English and French titles so the absence of the v.f. tag is redundent... if the dvd has a French soundtrack; and it looks like it does; then it will have a bilingual sleeve.
