Do the Canadian versions of Rush Hour and Rush Hour 2 have bilingual packaging?
Question:

Does anyone know? I'd like to order the gift set with both of them but not if they have bilingual packaging.

Answers:

I don't understand the problem a lot of people on these forums have with bi-lingual packaging. Can anybody explain to me why it's so important?

Answers:

Well, I can't understand how anybody could not have a problem with bi-lingual covers.
As for Rush Hour 1 + 2 - since they were both published before that stupid law was passed they should be safe to buy.
But I've read that some of the companys that produce these bi-lingual abominations have actually started to use bi-lingual covers on older titles - so you'll have to hope that the covers of the DVDs that you'll get were printed last year and are not the messed up reprints.

As these are only £6.49 on Play i dont give a ***** what the cover says as long as u have the best version of a film at a nice cheap price.

The R2 of Rush Hour is not an option - EiV forgot to include the subtitles for the sections of the movie that are spoken in Chinese.
Both the R1, the R4 and non-UK R2 have these subtitles.

I don't know how helpful this will be regarding the box set of both films but http://www.dv-depot.com/ list Rush Hour as having a bi-lingual cover while Rush Hour 2 doesn't.

And its not like you look at the cover when watching the film so the only reason you can have to get upset about french writing is to hate the french...........
I hope the canadian version stay bilingual and the people who have a problem with it can carry on spending more money on the US versions.
More money for more dvd's for me.
:D
