Interesting question, but valid. Normally, I'm not in favour of tinkering with sound mixes for the sake of it, but Suspiria is an overwhelmingly sensory experience, with so much of its impact relying on the clarity of sound and vision. The dts mix on the R1 Anchor Bay is an amazing thing to hear (ditto the 5.1 version of Deep Red).
I think I'm right in saying that Suspiria was originally mixed (stifle those giggles) quadrophonically - any decent surround mix for the dvd will surely be as close as we're going to get.
