Question:
Before Army of Darkness gets a R2 release I want to get ED2.
Is the el cheapo R2 a good buy?
(I know it's missing one or two insignificant things from the R1)
What's the quality like etc?
cheers
Richie
From Rewind (http://www.dvdcompare.org.uk), the BGM release is cut and looks very basic, Momentum release seems better although it recommends the R1 as the better version.
yeah just go for the R2 cheapo.
i think its the same as the R1 no ?
cheers peeps
been reading the other (million & one) threads on Evil Dead.
Will go for Momentum version.

mods you can close if you want!
(and I'll remember the 'search' function next time!)
Rewind prefers the R1 just because it's in a biscuit tin. Play had the identically specc'd (I think) R2 in a lovely clear Amaray for a mere £6.50 last time I looked.
Go for the Momentum release - u won't be disappointed.
Momentum release is fine, great even - and a damn good bargain for the kind of ridiculously cheap prices you can buy it at.
Hillarious commentary. Film ain't bad, either :).
Is there anything really significant missing from the region 2? (except for a good cover that is :p )
its exactly the same as the R1 !!
According to Rewind, the R1 also has Evil Dead: Hail To The King Video Game Preview, Still Galleries, Talent Bios, is THX Certified and carries the 4:3 version.
I always check what specs they've listed as sometimes they recommend the R1 over the R2 and then you find the only difference in their listings is that the R1 has bios, which are easy enough to look up anyway :)
As it is, if none of the above bothers you, you may as well go for the Momentum R2
