I thought that for people from the Netherlands, Belgium & Luxumbourg would want to know this info straight away
Universal Benelux* has just announced that the 1982 version will be available in Belgium and The Netherlands, according to Mr Spielberg's wishes. It's a last minute decision for sure, as it will come available in January, violating the planned 10 week availability.
The 2-disc set which will be released next week is unchanged though (the milk was indeed already spilled), and the 1982 version will therefor be only available in a 3-disc set (with the first two discs from the release next week).

Geesh! They've got loads wrong on that forum. I dont care what Speilberg says, I've got the giftset in front of me and its not as they say it is. It is not bilingual, does have DTS (except for the '82 version).
I dont understand what you've said above though. I wasn't aware that R2 were getting a giftset. Also how can it be too late for the ET orginal to be included when it wasnt too late to include it on the US version just released?
they are talking about the canadian version not the american version. and the 82 giftset american does not have dts
