Question:
I hope this is the right forum!
I've just witnessed the video of the Madonna/007 song 'Die Another Day'. What a load of rubbish!!
Both song and video are talentless and offensive. Things are not looking good for the movie - what with this and Halle Berry!:oh-hum:
What have the producers done? I'll admit I am not a fan of Madonna but she can do 'very atmospheric' - eg. Frozen.
Instead we get, what sounds like, a re-hash of a Victoria Beckam number. All synthesised voice and no tune.
WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE CLASSIC BOND SOUND AND LYRICS WITH A HOOK?!
Anyway, what do the rest of you think?:(
It gets worse if you are a Bond soundtrack fan as per I....
Because Warner Bros (These guys are really starting to annoy me now!) have insisted in cramming the video and some dodgy remixes onto the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack CD (thus making a so called 'enhanced' CD that will beggar up most PC's including mine  ) they have cut the 100 plus minutes or so of David Arnold's soundtrack (always excellent and I hope for more again) down to just forty minutes and apparently the entire last third of the film is missing.:brickwall
This enhanced rubbish should be kept for the DVD where we can ignore it, not dumped on the soundtrack where it will remain unplayed by most, if not all serious sound track collectors.
Aparently David Arnold is hoping for a 'Volume 2' of the DAD Soundtrack (as happened with Tomorrow Never Dies) but that may take some time.

Oh and to add insult to injury, have Warner Bros delayed the release of Babylon 5 Season 1 R2 by any chance.
Nuts......
Me not happy:mad:

How can you possibly judge the quality of the film based solely on the video for Madonna's title track ??
I also heard Madonna/WB did not get it all their own way ... they wanted to have screen kiss between Madonna and Pierce in the film but were instantly told to ******* off !!!!
I agree the Madonna song is total pants, and I'm very mad about the soundtrack album. :oh-hum:
But the film itself looks like it might rock, looks much better than TWINE.
silly question and I dont have time to look for the answer, but where did you see the video?
I love the video and song for the new DAD movie. When I first heard it I thought "yuck - this is poo", but now I love it :D
The video is excellent - very stylish :D
I saw it on MTV a few times, so looked on Kazaa and whammo - there it is! :D

saw the video last night, at first i thought WTF.. but the second time the song sort of grew on me but not really... but totally agree it simply isn't Bond, the video sure looks a treat, but shouldn't have been the main Bond video (or is it?).. and the song, nothing like Garbage's excellent one.... love the Bond themes, but this simply doesn't rate :(
still as far as the actual film goes, looks pretty good, TWINE was a big dissapoinment in my opinion, i'm a Goldeneye type person, so hopefully DAD will perform.. .will be worth the admission just for that cool car stunt where it flips over to avoid the missile!!! :rocker:
I do agree - it wasn't very Bond-esque - but I liked it.
Also as the opening credit main tune, it's pretty weak compared to others.
Oh, and did you notice on MTV there's 2 versions of the video - one with the bit where Madonna is slashed across the belly and she holds her belly covered in blood then wipes it on the tiled wall... well the blood was kinda blurred (with gray) out.

Enjoying my OHMSS soundtrack...:notworthy
The Living Daylights is a classy bond song and so is Licence To Kill!:rocker:
Is this going to be the song for the film. I looked at her website and it seems to suggest that the Oakenfold vs Bond track is going to be in the film. Hmm.

I espied this on the track listing details for the OST and I am looking forward to hearing it. It will probably be used over the end credits in the same way as the excellent Bond medley of David Arnold's on the end credits of TWINE.
Song is kinda growing on me by the way anyone notice possible spoiler in video? It only flashes very quickly but Im sure when madonna is tied up you see a flash of a heavily bearded and long haired man ie Bond not 100% about this but doesnt the movie start with bond being held prisoner. He has been held captive for some time and has long hair & beard?
Found it on Windows Media today, not bad, not great either.
Son of Thunder, yes tht is who you think :)

Yeahh the best Bond score ever by the best Bond music composer:notworthy
I think its a good track, about time they became more up to date with the theme tunes. Only so many times you can roll out Oldies so sing the themes:rolleyes:

Up to date? Rather ambigious, don't you say? What is an updated sound? Nothing new or creative about the new song at all.
Biggest wasted opportunity re: Bond Sountracks was NOT using The David Arnold / Propellorheads version of OHMS on the carpark beemer chase in TND. Almost as bad as not having Blur's Song 2 in Starship Troopers after using it in the TV ads for the same movie. That was such a perfect match it really should've been used in the movie.
