MovieMask - Good Bad or Downright Ugly
Question:

Just came across a website @ www.moviemask.com
"MovieMask lets you control the content your family watches by adjusting the settings provided by the MovieMask program. You can now watch box office hits such as The Matrix, Titanic, Saving Private Ryan, and so many more, without covering your eyes or having to fast-forward through the bad stuff. MovieMask does it all for you."
Thanks

Im was wandering if these guys pay the original film makers anything ?
They may even be breaking a law ( some must exist for kindof editing movies ?? )

Answers:

Yeah I heard that when Titanic was released, in America there was a version (video I'd guess) that basically snipped out the sex scene and where Kate gets her assets out (a crime surely!? :norty: ) therefore making it suitable for the kids too, I believe Paramount/Fox were not happy bunnies!

There are online stores that rent edited DVD's such as http://www.mycleanflicks.com/ and http://www.cleancutcinemas.com/
Here's a story about the trend of renting edited DVD's: [Link] (http://www.arizonarepublic.com/arizona/articles/0915cleanfilms15.html)
And here's my favourite quote from that article:
The edited videos appeal not only to parents but sensitive adults without kids, including former Miss Arizona Kapri "Rose" Roberts, 20, whose term ended in June. She and her husband have been avoiding many movies, including some rated PG ( ), and have walked out of movie theaters because of offensive subjects. "Now I can see all these movies I've been wanting to see but haven't," she said.

I think the film companies are pretty ****** off about this.
It's wrong - it's like taking out portions of a painting because it's not to your taste...
