Collect Questions

For those thinking of buying the newly released R2 version of this, I notice that there appears to be a difference in the aspect ratio compared to R1:
R1 = 1:85 anamorphic
R2 = 1:78 anamorphic
Correct aspect ratio according to IMDB is 1:85, so is R2 cropped?

Also does the R2 come with an insert (with chapter list / production notes possibly) because mine didn't have one...



Universal release in UK and OZ = no insert.
(Dreamworks release in US)
The PAL transfer is supposedly better (according to various reviews) and I bought the R4 (also coded R2) based on this (and the fact that I prefer the OZ cover!) BUT what the bloody reviewers didn't say was that the UK and OZ versions have PLAYER GENERATED CAPTIONS throughout the film (dates, locations bits of info) and this completely RUINS the film (especially the end where they are not on screen long enough to even read!)
The R1 has these burnt in & properly timed as they should be (and were at the cinema).
So go for the R1 simply because the R2/4 is a complete cock-up imho.
