Question:
My friend wants to know the name of the Sci-fi series that had fighter space jets called 'Vipers'. I think it's 'Battlestar Galactica' but he insists it's not. Can any one assist?
The Battlestar Galactica fighters were certainly called "Vipers" ("Starhounds" in the novel for some reason), and I can't think of any other space opera TV series with "Viper" fighters.
Steve
Unless he is remembering it's second incarnation title "Galactica 1980" or summat like that...
Anyway I don't remember vipers in any other Sci-fi series...
Don't know if any other series had Vipers, but you are definately correct that Battlestar Galactica (http://home.earthlink.net/~macmanjws/galactica/index.html) had single-seat fighters called Vipers.
...or even Colonial Vipers.
