Question:
Monsters Inc. R2 is this DTS ? Rewind seems a bit vague over the sound mixes on the 2 discer.
Also is it also DD-EX as well ? The packaging is not at all clear !
Thanks in advance
R2 is dts.
Thanks for that, will probably for this (£19.99 at Smith) but what about DD-EX ?
The R2 is DDEX & DTSES & both sound excellent IMO
Paul ;)
Thanks ! ;)
Could anyone please list some other Disney/Buena Vista titles which omits this info on the packaging?
I think ATLANTIS: LOST EMPIRE has a dts track aswell, but I would like confirmation.
Just to say that the Monsters Inc DTS track is fantastic, better than Gladiator for showing off Surround Sound and well worth the money.
I know you can buy this disc on-line cheaper, but I really didn't mind coughing up £20 for this set in WHSmiths - real value for money. :notworthy
£17.99 in ASDA. *chink* *chink* :)
14.99 in CD-WOW
The R2 version of Atlantis:CE (2 discs) and A Bugs Life:CE (2 discs) both have a DTS option.
Ain't it gone weird tho - originally a year or two back only US discs had dts for disney and now its only on UK discs and not US ones... odd :)
** spoiler **
the power cut in the flat (Monsters Inc.) frightens next doors cat, and made me jump when I first heard it
So has anybody done a direct comparisson betweent he DTS (is this ES-Discreet?) and the DD-EX on a 6.1 system? I have the US edition as it only cost £10 ($15) here and think that the DD-EX soudtrack is pretty damn good, but would be interested to hear if there is a lot of gain in the surround rear from the DTS-ES track (or any other channel) or if it is the usual DTS is louder type thing and both the DD-EX and DTS-ES sound the same.
