Collect Questions

I went to see Road to Perdition today and there was a trailer for Die Another Day before it. I spotted that as well as the MGM logo, there was also the 20th Century Fox logo, which I thought was a bit odd. Then I looked on the BBFC site and all the trailers were submitted by Fox and therefore, presumably, they will release the film in this country.
So when DAD is released on DVD over here, does this mean that Fox will release it, as opposed to MGM? I like Fox as DVD distributors, but it will probably spoil the continuity of the Bond DVD covers, which doesn't bother me that much cos I only own a few Bond DVDs, but could annoy collectors.



Recent MGM films are released through Fox in Europe. Such as Last year's Bandits and this year's Windtalkers. The DVDs will be released by MGM.



MGM's having a few money problems (which isn't helped by all thier films bombing big style recently) so for the bigger budget films they've done a co-production.



MGM is up for sale for a few billion dollars, they are also the last big company that's mostly owned independently by a couple of people.



If you look at the back of the MGM DVD cases, you will notice that all MGM discs are distributed by FOX Home Entertainment.
