Question:
Well, it's taken me a while to get through all the extras on this excellent DVD - so apologies for the delay, but you can now read my review of the to-be-released collector's edition of Grave of the Fireflies.

Top stuff Bex, I urge anyone to watch this film, regardless of whether you're a fan of Anime or not, it's probably the greatest wartime drama i've ever seen.
It's currently available for £13 delivered from DVD Soon (http://www.DVDsoon.com) as well.
Nice one Squire !.
Hey great review
i thought it was going to have the same transfer as the Jap R2 but it seems to have been worked on by the US DVD producers as well so is it that much better? (i have the JpR2 and thought it looked quite decent)
also - has anyone else got any views on the English dub.. i thought the voice acting on the Japanese track was spot on, especially Setsuko (which i didn't actually know was performed by a child previously but am not surprised at all by that fact) but I've been trying to get my family to watch it and an English dub would probably help (although I did get them to watch Spirited Away)
btw - as someone has commented on your (superb, btw!) review the Jap/HK Ghibli DVDs have full feature length storyboards.. might be a 1st for a US release tho
