Explanations of how things are done behind the scenes spoils 'the magic' of films
Question:

I know what u mean here - that element of magic and mystery is removed from films with so many behind the scenes extras - a catch 22 - we want to know how then regret finding out - perverse human nature for u.
In the same vein u never quite get the same thrill out of films as an adult. As a child you watch and completely believe - as an adult u never quite achieve that level of immersion I would argue even with the greatest movies.
However there are films which u simply cannot access as a child.

Have to totally agree with this statement as I have never liked those "making of programmes", or documentaries on dvds for that matter, which take you behind the scenes of the film.
For me, seeing the actors play out the scenes while being surrounded by all the film people and cameras etc, makes you think, **** I wish I hadn't seen that..........in the movie that scene looked so good. What's worse is seeing the actors in front of the blue screens doing scenes involving CGI. It totally spoils the magic of the effects.
I always avoid this behind the scenes malarky.
I made the mistake of downloading the episiode 2 dvd trailer which has segments of behind the scenes footage and seeing the actors just in front of a blue screen looked so utterly ***** where as in the movie the scene was really good with the CGI.:shocker:

I always watch the extras after watching the film and I can't agree that they spoil the film.

Answers:

I've never found that they spoilt the film, you've always got some idea how they did it anyway.
