My Mum has told me about a film she has heard of about Churchill that she wants to see, apparently it had it's premiere recently and is out sometime this year. Does anyone know the title as I said I'd look it up for her - a plot search on the IMDB didn't reveal much.

could it be "The Gathering Storm"? It won the Emmy for Best Actor this week and was about Churchils "dark period" during the thirties.

Thanks a lot, that sounds like it, it must have been the Emmy it won this week that she thought was the premiere. I didn't realise it was a T.V. movie, any idea if it will be shown on UK t.v. soon? IMDB says it's UK release date was 22nd July this year, which channel was it on?

BBC2 - and very excellent it was. I'm patiently awaiting a DVD release.

Since I managed to miss this by screwing up the timer settings I'm patiently waiting for a repeat, but I'll settle for a decent DVD release! :)
