R2 was a flipper if I recall and the R1 has not extras.
Any good versions at all or planned?
The R2 was re-released and isn't a flipper now, but it's still devoid of extras:

The UK R2 is cut so go for the uncut R4, which should be cheaper as well. Still nothing significant in the way of extras though....

A region 3 Hong Kong version which has a DTS track on it has just been released. You can get it at www.dddhouse.com. I've got no idea how good the quality of this release is though.
I think the Region 1 version has better sound than the Region 4. I believe there's supposed to be a Director's Cut next year.
