Collect Questions

Anybody bought this DVD?
Heard good things about it when it was release in the cinemas.
It's on DVD from Tartan's Extreme Asia label (dunno how long ago it was released?)
I'm wondering whether it will have decent subs and picture quality...

Yeah - The disk is one of Tartan's better'uns. Not a bad film at all - Very violent in places, but the Tarantino comparisons are pretty redundant. I don't think it's quite as intelligent as Tartan would have you believe, either. Well worth watching though.



Rented it, and it's a great film, though be warned very downbeat



Is the Tartan release Pan & Scan ?.



Claims to be anamorphic 1.85:1.
I think every release of a recent (at least post-1999) film from Tartan is anamorphic widescreen, even if they've usually made their copies from shoddy prints.

I can remember reading a thread which stated that one region of this movie was in pan & scan, but can't remember which region it actually was.



It's the R1 which is P+S. I know I bought it........:(
