Help Me!!!!!!!!!!!
Question:

On the third of October it is my birthday and I want to see my first "legal" :norty: 15 certifcate film.
The problem is there is so many to choose from.
In your opinion which film is the best and which one will restore my faith in the film industry (after the godawful Signs and words cannot describe Swimfan).
Is it "Road to Perdition" , "Insomnia" , "Frailty" or "O"?
PLEASE, PLEASE help me!
:rocker:

Out of that list i've only seen Frailty. Thought it was very good, suitably creepy with great performances. Bit of a lame twist towards the end but a good film nonetheless.
However i don't think it's a 'cinema' type of film. So maybe go for 'Road to Perdition' as that looks pretty epic.
Or maybe wait a bit for xXx?? :norty: :D

You picked good 4 films to watch, all have sad endings, I'd [recommend] 'O', great decieving main character, or Road to Perdition.
Insomnia and Frailty can wait.
Edit: someone swallowed my "recommend".

Answers:

Insomnia is excellent, only one of those I've seen, although I do want to see 'O'

Insomnia is good but not as good as the Scandinavian original - if I was u I'd pick Road to Perdition.:)

Frailty AND Insomnia are great films. For me, Insomnia is slightly better, but only because I don't like a few scenes towards the end of Frailty. And Insomnia isn't worse than the original, just different. It's less emotionally cold, and looses a redundant love plot.

Answers:

Frailty if you're in the mood for something suspenseful and shocking. It hangs around like a dark cloud over your head.
Insomnia if you want some terrific natural sets, a very interesting premise and Pacino on full speed. The ending is a bit forced and Robin Williams is a no-no, but otherwise a great movie.
Road To Perdition if the words classic, epic (on a smaller scale) appeal to you. You get some terrific performances (especially the cold and distant Tom Hanks, although some might disagree), excellent cinematography and Paul Newman. It's a bit predictable, but then again it's that kind of film.
'O'...no clue there mate. Haven't seen it.
Cheers,
