Korean War films
Question:

Pork Chop Hill was on C4 this afternoon and got me thinking - despite reading a fair amount about the Korean War and talking to some people who experienced it, I've seen very few films set during the conflict.
M*A*S*H, Steel Helmet and Spring In My Hometown (Korean film set just after the war) are about it - can anyone name some more? Availability on DVD would be a plus :)

Answers:

...1961's <a href="http://reviews.imdb.com/Reviews/259/25911">War Hunt</a>... a nifty little movie that gave the world Robert Redford - and that gave John Saxon the best role of his career...
...and on DVD: <a href="http://www.digitallyobsessed.com/showreview.php3?ID=1269">The Bridges At Toko-Ri</a> (1954)...
...and not forgetting Samuel Fuller's 1951 <a href="http://reviews.imdb.com/Reviews/226/22642">The Steel Helmet</a>...

I think The Hill was set in Korea.

...not Sidney Lumet's 1965 <a href="http://us.imdb.com/Details?0059274">The Hill</a> starring Sean Connery...
...however, there was a 1956 movie titled <a href="http://w1.860.telia.com/~u86010716/early.html">A Hill In Korea</a> which gave the world Michael Caine...

Also worth a mention:
Sam Fuller's Fixed Bayonets (featuring a young James Dean)
Joseph H. Lewis' Retreat, Hell!
Douglas Sirk's Battle Hymn
And, for a Korean perspective, To the Starry Island (absolutely fantastic).
