Question:
I saw Dungeons & Dragons on Sky recently and it's hard to imagine anyone has ever played a hammier villain than Jeremy Irons as the evil mage Profion in that film. It's also hard to imagine he won an Oscar 11 years ago! After devouring the scenery in this and The Time Machine, his next stop should be pantomime with Frank Bruno and Linda Lusardi at the Croydon Pavillion.
Frank Booth (Dennis Hopper) from Blue Velvet
De Niro in Rocky and Bullwinkle was very OTT! ;)
Ray Liotta in Turbulence was pretty awful :oh-hum:
Nicholas Cage in 'Face/Off' ..... not so much OTT as borderline hysteria :oh-hum:
Dennis Hopper in 24, perfect example of how not to do a russian accent.
Gary Oldman - Leon - all those crunching pills and neck contortions.
The Prison Warden in HK film The Story Of Ricky - a salt shaker stored in his glass eye was the least unpleasant thing about him.
Alan Rickman in Robin Hood, fantastically OTT

Beat me to it, mate. I was going to nominate the same guy!
Kurgan in Highlander. Him the best.
But, another vote for Frank Booth (Dennis Hopper) from Blue Velvet.
Boink!
Vernon's final scenes make him a strong contender - also, Walken in 'A View to a Kill', Patrick Magee in 'A Clockwork Orange' and Billy Zane's dreadful 'Titanic' performance
Bennet in Commando
DR Evil:|
Ok, technically not a villian, but c'mon Leatherface has always been the hero in the Texas Chain Saw films, so:
Dennis Hopper - Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2
Hopper reaches previously un-thought of levels of Ham-dom in this film. :rocker:

There can be only one - Christian Bale in "American Psycho".

An additional vote for Angelica Houston in "The Witches" and whoever portrayed the witch in "Return To Oz".
Jack Nicholson in Batman.
Mowser from Police Acadamy 2 :p

Absolutely! :rocker:
Bennet in Commando for sure (and also in Weird Science! :) )
Extra thick sliced ham definitely is his speciality.
Martin Sheen in Dead Zone as the completely deranged Senator Greg Stilson (and while on this one, the TV spin-off of Dead Zone starts tonight on Sci-fi at 9PM. I'm curious to see how they pull this one off, esp. considering how the movie ended.)
.. and my personal favourite OTT villain.
Ricardo "I stab at thee" Montalban as Khan.
Antony Perkins in Crimes of Passion.
Dennis Hopper in Speed
