Question:
I'm being dragged off to see this tonight and just wanted to know what to expect really.
The trailers cry 'Chick flick' - is it any good though?
www.rottentomatoes.com seems to give a generally good writeup on it, but I think I'll need a lot of convincing to go and see it after seeing the trailer.

Yeah I saw it tonight. Very enjoyable. As DrX says, it's a good lightweight comedy and not just one for the ladies. There were quite a few laugh out loud moments too.
Well, it wasn't too bad - made a change that the leading actress in it wasn't some stunner who they just put a pair of dodgy specs' in.
The best character in it had to be her Dad - he was fantastic. Not a DVD purchase, but you could see a lot worse at the pictures! Spoiled a bit by a bunch of cacklers who thought EVERY line in the film was hilarious - you could hear their foul demonic laughter every minute or so :mad:
Good movie on the whole. Not a laugh riot from start to finish but the father is quite good.
Good movie to bring some fanciable woman to - you'll laugh at times, think it's a good movie, she'll think you're a nice sensitive chap.
Not a bad little film - doesn't really deserve the massive hit status that it has (but what does) - in a word - CHARMING!
Yeah fiancée enjoyed it, and all the couples in the cinema came out into the night holding each other closer..very good date movie.
saw it last night. i thought it was hilarious! i was laughing nearly all the way through it and I also went to see it with a Greek friend of mine and she found it funny as well! :lol: :lol: :lol:

just watched this film, very enjoyable !!!
I thought this film was the worst of last year and so did the wife. Seemed strange to label this a comedy when it did not raise 1 laugh from anyone in the cinema. :oh-hum:
