Fault on People Like Us Series one
Question:

I was already disappointed about the lack of features, but the BBC sadly appears to have messed up the presentation of episodes too. The packaging states that this disc is 16:9 widescreen. Despite all of the other episodes being presented in anamorphic widescreen, episode 4 appears to have a full-frame transfer. Can anyone confirm that this is the case?
If so, it's rather annoying, as the episodes are not all presented in the same format. However, I actually thought I remembered Series 1 being broadcast on the BBC in full screen, rather than widescreen. I'll have to see if I can catch an episode on PlayUK before it closes to check.

Answers:

Yes I noticed last night the episode 4 was full frame.

Answers:

I e-mailled BBC about this and apparently episode 4 was the pilot episode, filmed before the switch to widescreen. When the series was comissioned, the remaining episodes were filmed in widescreen, yet the pilot was bumped to the fourth episode shown when the show was aired on TV.
So, there isn't any problem with this DVD release :)

You lie!! The packaging states "scene selection" as a special feature. You always get value for money from the Beeb. :oh-hum:
