The Extended version of Battle Royale is being released on Region 2 DVD. It will be 2 discs, not only is there additional footage and CGI added to the film but also an alternate ending.
The second Disc will contain TV spots, documentaries etc. Read more for the full spec. Release date is 23/09/2002.
The contents of the two discs are as follows:

i haven't seen it, but i pre-ordered it from amazon anyway 'cause it was such a good deal. will probably make a nice profit on ebay if i don't like it. (have done the same with the ealing boxset, classic films but watched once is enough for me)

You utter ******** :mad:, I only just bought the R2 NTSC release a few months ago for £14.

for those who missed the amazon fiasco bargain, and who don't wish to pay the rip off r.r.p for the directors cut on u.k. R2, there is a korean release out very soon that will no doubt be far cheaper.

Well since it is the special edition with more scenes and blood etc I am quite happy for it to be re-released!! :)
They should have done a 3 disk set though including the NTSC 5.1 disk!!
