Band of Brothers R1 V R2 V R4
Question:

Which is the best set to get, at rewind it only has R1.
Choas DVD seem to have there prices wrong compared to DVDPRICECHECKER

Answers:

...and if you don't mind me asking, which one has English or Portuguese subtitles ?
I know that the Uk release will have English Closed Captions which would be useless to me unless i can select them on the menu. The French release does have Portuguese subtitles but seems to miss most of the R1 and R2 Uk extras.
This query may be overlooked by most of the forum members, but it's important for me, since English is not my first language.
And with all those explosions going on... :rocker:
Thanks

Your spelling and grammar is better than the majority of people on these forums!
Sorry I can't help answer your question though.

My guess, based on the press releases is that R2 and R4 will be identical. Rumours suggest that R4 may be sans tin (but it will also be sans 15 quid on the pricetag).

What I would like confirmation on is whether R2 or 4 will have the Field Guide ?
which is the follow the white rabbit style feature to get more info on each episode as you watch it.
If this is missing will need to pay the extra for R1

Ok so we have just found out that there will be no DTS on R2 so its between R1 and R4 for those with DTS receivers. :)

Apologies to all. Apparently the PR we received for "Band of Brothers" was mistaken when it mentioned DTS. Warner's PR have confirmed that the disk does not feature a DTS soundtrack although the sound is DD 5.1.
