Question:
Has anyone seen a review or full list of the specs on this set?If you have could you point me in the right direction
no point in buying a boxset just for the sake of it.
buy the first halloween and don'y bother with the rest.
H20 isn't too bad, but not needed
nashie, if Mark wanted opinions on the quality of the films I’m sure he would’ve asked but that’s not what he was asking. Who cares if you or anyone else thinks the movies in question are poor. Answer his question or don’t bother posting.
awwww cheer up jonathan, i note u didn't answer either, just gave me a very sad, angry response, have a cup of tea jon. relax.
in the meantime heres all i could dig up regarding halloween dvd set: http://www.anchorbay.co.uk/perl/search.pl?CO=ABDHALL
it was posted on here a couple of days ago about the set and i could not see any extras noted down and this page says they are to be announced.
however i stand my recommendation that you stay away from halloween 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
not seen 8 yet.
why is halloween 6 not on the dvd set anyone??
jonathan maybe you can provide some info on that one instead of making useless aggressive posts.
Does anyone know if there'll be a complete R1 BS, with part 6 and the new one?
in the absence of a reply from mr anal-retentive, i'll follow up again.
no idea, for stuff like that check out www.halloweenmovies.com
i assume that there was liscensing difficulties involved with getting halloween 6. houldn't be a problem with halloween 8 as thats another miramax release.

Shame you couldn’t have provided that originally instead of offering your pointless unasked for threadcrap. Might I direct you to the review forum if you want to slate these movies.
Oh, and I stand by my assertion that your first post was pointless, useless and could be considered offensive by way of casting indirect aspersions on the original poster’s taste.
Grow up and realise that not everyone likes the same movies as you and if they’re asking for technical details try saving your highly astute, oh so literate critiques for threads where they’re openly solicited.
i still think you need a cup of tea.
you still haven't posted any content to this thread but if you want an argument bring it on because i find you highly amusing.
you need to be able to differentiate between what was meant as a light inoffensive comment and an insult.
an insult might be if i were to... say, call u a c***smoker, they would probably be deemed offensive and quite rightly too. but to say:
'no point in buying a boxset just for the sake of it.
buy the first halloween and don'y bother with the rest.
H20 isn't too bad, but not needed'
is a bit of jokey advice. however to show nothing was meant by it i went and found some info which might have been able to help him, whereas you just posted directives on how i should post and where i should post, quite oblivious to the fact that you have posted two followups which are full of rubbish and at no point address the guy's initial question.
now go and have a cup of tea possibly turn the monitor off, you'll feel better for it

Rrrrright so telling someone that the very movies they’re asking about are crap is a polite thing to do?

Or - because you were called on posting unwanted slaggings of said movies you went on a little damage limitation exercise and posted some useful info to try and make up for your first post.
Apologies to Mark for being partly culpable in derailing this thread, but I can’t stand armchair critics who proffer their opinions when they’re not wanted or asked for.
I’ve said my piece on this now nashie, the kettle has boiled and the floor is yours.
handbags at dawn!
Great fun this discussion!
In answer to H6 - I think it's absence would be due to who owns the right - Disney if I'm correct?
I think specs are to be confirmed & unsure if R1 boxset will appear?
Hmm I thought Disney was part of the Buena Vista empire (or more like the top part which owns BV) which owns Miramax and Dimension.. so if 1,2,3,4,5,H20 and Ress are owned by Miramax and 6 by Disney what's the problem? The same company owns the rights doesn't it? Or is it not that simple?

Miramax/Dimension released Parts 6 onwards so it does seem strange that H20 is in the boxset and 6 isn't. I don't think they own the rights to the 5 earlier films.
maybe its halloween 5 that isn't on the set
