Blade 2 sound question
Question:

Is it me, or is the DTS track somewhat lacking in bass during any action sequences? When the "techno" music plays, there doesn't seem to be much problem, but in scenes such as the bit where Blade takes on the vampires on motorbikes, surely there would be a lot of bass from the bikes' engines?

Answers:

I haven't watched it yet but all the reviews I read has commented on how good the DTS and bass is.
I'll check it out when I watch it. What about the DD track?

Answers:

Xenole I've watched it twice now, I've not found the DTS sound lacking in bass anywere in the movie, If anything I think there's too much:) in some of the scenes,

I have just watched it and it was a cracking film.
I did notice the bass did come from mainly my front speakers but the rave scene had plenty of subwoofer bass.
I also thought it was a bit too much and gave me a bit of a headache.
But I agree there wasn't much subwoofer bass in the scene you describe but there in the rest of the film.

I thought the Bass was fine, perhaps i do agree with you on the Motorbike bit, no where near as intense as say MI:2 but i thought the Bass effects were very good, especially the subtle differences in the club scenes when you're right in the middle of the club and it's really in your face then switching to the blood pack who are walking around outside the main dance floor and it's a lot more subdued. I weas quite impressed with that. :dork: :D

The 'House of Pain' sequence is truly subwoofer heaven. Maybe the mixers didn't give the bikes tons of bass because they wanted to save it for later on, where it'd have more of an impact. You can have too much of a loud thing, right? Now where's my dts Saving Private Ryan got to?:D
