Anyone seen Lifeforce?
Question:

its on Ch5 tonight.
been mentioned a few times on here, wondering if its worth watching ?

Answers:

In a word:YES.
Some cheesy acting,a different spin on a vampire tale and a naked lady walking around for most of the film :)
Have had it on DVD for a while now and it has had quite a few viewings.Well worth a watch if you have never seen it before.

i noticed there are 2 versions of the film
the international being longer at 111 mins, and US version shorter.
on ch5 it runs from 1:10am-3:05am
is that the shorter version then ?

Answers:

I have it on Lazerdisc and its 1h 56 mins long
Says International version
Very cheesy but good story and Patrick Stewart is in it :rocker:

i saw this in the video rack of my local store when i was about 5 or 6, and the picture was just of some naked chick strapped to a rocket.
i always thought it looked good :D but i dont have c5 so thats blown it for me :(

I thought that the UK release was longer than the US release - in fact a newsgroup adressed this very issue yesterday saying the US dvd is shorter than the UK theatircal version.

Answers:

thats what i meant, oops when i said international i meant out of US. Since i was reading from IMDB

Both the R2 & R1 DVDs are identical and both feature the long International cut.

I've always thought of it as kinda like Quatermass with breasts. It's probably similar to what Hammer would of have turned out if they'd have made Quatermass in the 70's.
Very enjoyable all the same.:norty:

did anyone watch this last night then ?
was it the extended edit ?
i taped it, havent watched it yet.

You really need to see this in the full widescreen ratio to appreciate the scale of it especially in the early scenes of the colossal vampire http://i.imdb.com/Photos/CMSIcons/emoticons/extra/alien3.gif spacecraft.
I can’t recommend this enough - everyone should have a copy.

LOL !
what a wierd little film.
it has got a lot of cheese factor, but i thought at times it was very good, the beginning reminded me of Alien a bit, plus the scenes of London at the end were very dark and atmospheric with a bit of Romero in there :)
it was a pretty good take on the vampire story, still was a bit of an ol' love story.
despite its cringe worthy ending....
great music
Great unintentionally hilarious dialogue
and GREAT PAIR !!!!
